By architecting a hyper-focused YouTube campaign around the iconic 'Murder She Wrote' video, we created a powerful funnel directly to a channel-owned playlist, resulting in a staggering 5,000%+ increase in daily playlist starts and revitalizing the channel's ecosystem.
Our methodology was centered on transforming a single, high-performing asset into a strategic gateway for the entire channel. We identified 'Murder She Wrote' as the "hero video" and built the campaign around driving targeted traffic to it. The key was not the view itself, but the user's next action. By funneling this traffic to a curated, channel-owned playlist, we dramatically increased session duration and user retention.
This strategic ad spend served as a catalyst for YouTube's recommendation algorithm, which resulted in a +38% lift in organic impressions and a +24% lift in organic views. We employed a tiered budget allocation across different geographic markets, running granular analysis to achieve an efficient Cost Per Subscriber of $0.10 in Tier 1 markets (USA, France) and an exceptionally low $0.02 in high-growth Tier 2 markets (Dominican Republic, Argentina).
