After a successful initial pre-save campaign, artist Ouroboros re-hired Means Management for a higher-level release strategy in May-June 2025. The main goal was to leverage the proprietary audience assets established in the prior campaign, namely the "Future Save" (Feature.FM) and active listener data to conduct a more effective and efficient promotional cycle for a new single. Key strategic goals included: 1) Audience Activation: Leverage the pre-built, high-intent audience of past engagers and "Future Save" users to drive a higher volume of pre-saves at a lower effective cost. 2) Algorithmic Amplification: Secure a significantly higher number of pre-saves to provide Spotify's algorithm with an overwhelming signal of user demand, aiming for a stronger day-one Spotify Popularity Index (SPI) and increased potential for algorithmic playlist placement. 3) Deepening Fan Relationships: Expand the artist's owned audience by capturing a substantial number of fan emails, creating a direct and permanent line of communication for future marketing efforts.

The campaign's success was architected around a sophisticated retargeting and audience expansion strategy. By leveraging the data from Ouroboros's previous campaign, we were able to bypass broad, cold-traffic advertising and immediately engage users with a proven interest in the artist's music, resulting in superior conversion rates and a more powerful release.

Our methodology began with the segmentation of Ouroboros's existing audience data. We deployed specific, high-impact ad creatives to retarget users who had previously engaged or pre-saved, while simultaneously building powerful lookalike audiences to find new, similar listeners at scale. A dynamic, tiered budget was allocated between Tier 1 and Tier 2 countries to maximize reach while maintaining an efficient cost-per-acquisition. This data-informed approach allowed for exceptional efficiency and impact. The campaign achieved an extremely high 75% Landing Page CTR and a final Cost Per Pre-Save between $0.34-$0.52. The strategy's true power is evident in the conversion of past interest into present action. Turning a one-time campaign into a long-term audience asset, we generated 2,393 pre-saves, captured over 2,000 fan emails, and secured 1,221 "Future Saves". This established a robust, self-sustaining ecosystem for Ouroboros, ensuring each new release is more powerful than the last.

The campaign's efficacy is clearly demonstrated by comparing its post-release metrics to the previous single.
